This confusion was cleared up at Jump Festa 2024, where it was revealed that My Hero Academia Season 7 will return to the small screen on May 4, 2024. My Hero Academia has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump since July 2014, with 39 volumes so far. The manga is now in its final volume, so there is not much time left before the series comes to an end. The series tells the story of Midoriya Tezuhisa, a boy who dreams of becoming a hero like Allmight. However, Midoriya’s dreams are dashed when he discovers that he does not have a Kuwak. As he grows up, he meets Olmight by chance. Olmight convinces Midoriya that there is still hope. Thus begins Midoriya’s long and exciting adventure.
My Hero Academia has inspired many spin-offs, the most popular being Vigilantes. My Hero Academia: Vigilantes began bi-weekly editions in 2016 and will end in 2022. So far, more than 80 million copies of the manga have been sold and that number is likely to increase as the series comes to an end.
The first anime version of My Hero Academia was released in April 2016. The second season was released in April 2017 and the third in April 2018. The fourth season will begin in October 2019 and the fifth season will premiere in March 2021. The sixth season of My Hero Academia will air in October 2022.
So far, the series has been filmed three times, all with great success. A fourth film is currently in production and is scheduled to air in summer 2024. In addition to spin-offs, movies, and one-shots, My Hero Academia has also spawned several games, including My Hero Academia Justice, My Hero Academia Justice 2, and My Hero Ultra Rumble.
