While Wolverine’s return is already widely known, newly leaked photos from the set of Deadpool 3 have revealed the return of another iconic character. Reynolds took to Instagram to express his displeasure at the leak, writing: “It’s important for us to shoot the new Deadpool in the real world. Telephoto lenses keep ruining the surprise and making it hard for everyone.”

Jackman cheekily echoed the sentiment by sharing Reynolds’ story on his Instagram. “What he said – but Wolverine’s new movie,” Jackman added, retweeting Deadpool’s title. Jackman made fun of Reynolds and shrugged off the annoying situation. The comment sparked a lot of reactions from MCU fans and even sparked a Deadpool vs. Wolverine controversy. Jackman and Reynolds have been known to make fun of each other in the past, but mostly in jest.

Although the leak solved one mystery, there are still many unconfirmed rumors, including the possible return of Oscar Isaac as Moon Knight. Although Reynolds was furious about the leak, he eventually saw the positive side of it, admitting that “one of the reasons people post spoilers is because they’re excited. I realized it’s not a real problem, it falls into the category of ‘good problems.'” Expectations for Deadpool 3 grow with each new Marvel Studios film. Fans seem to be pinning their hopes on the next film reviving the MCU and ending the studio’s downward spiral.
