Xbox Game Pass, New Game Releases In 2024

As we approach the end of the year, Xbox Game Pass is confirming more games for 2024, with a new title confirmed for the second quarter of 2024.

Xbox Game Pass has confirmed that Couch will arrive in 2024. The news was announced at the recent CCXP23 conference in São Paulo, Brazil, and according to the Xbox event overview, the game is described as “an emotional story adventure about the things we experience” and is being developed in Colombia by StudioBando. Here it is.

Xbox as a whole had quite a presence at CCXP23, with the premiere of the first official trailer for the “Fallout” TV series, as well as updates on “Firefight: King of the Hill” in “Halo Infinite“, a trailer for “Halo” Season 2, confirmation of the “Jurassic World Adventures” DLC for Minecraft and many other announcements and updates. Of course, Xbox Game Pass was not left out.

Soup is inspired by the animation style of Hayao Miyazaki, whose films include Spirited Away, Coco, and The Little Prince. The main character, Miho, sets out to collect potatoes for his grandmother’s soup and ends up in a fantasy world. The adventure takes place in a variety of environments, but every time Miho brings the ingredients back to the kitchen, things change. Players can expect a lot: three-dimensional environments in South America, a compelling story, a variety of different paths and puzzles, as well as fun side missions and collectibles. Currently, Couch seems to promise a gaming experience of around 12 hours.

Couch’s Steam release date is Q2 2024, so if there are no delays, fans can expect the title relatively early next year. Meanwhile, there are still plenty of titles on Xbox Game Pass for December, including Goat Simulator on Dec. 7, Against the Storm on Dec. 8, Tin Hearts on Dec. 12, and Far Cry 6 on Dec. 14. Subscribers can expect new games to be announced by then, but if more games are not announced by 2024, we may hear about it a little sooner.

Xbox is promoting attending The Game Awards 2023 and encouraging Game Pass subscribers to attend, and many expect Xbox to reveal more than a release date for Baldur’s Gate 3. Although they have a history of big announcements, something was missing in 2022, and they may want to make up for that with a presence in 2023, it seems Xbox Game Pass will be involved, at least to some extent.
