Now, less than an hour after the leak, Rockstar has published the full trailer on its official YouTube channel.The trailer confirms that GTA 6 will be released in 2025, with the full title revealed as simply “Grand Theft Auto VI.”The GTA 6 trailer shows Rockstar taking us back to the bustling streets and sun-bathed beaches of Vice City, reminiscent of Miami, the setting of the 2002 hit. The game will also feature a female protagonist for the first time in the series, along with an as-yet-unnamed male partner, forming a Bonnie and Clyde-style relationship as they crash around the city on speedboats, motorcycles, and sports cars.
The trailer shows a variety of environments, including the animated beaches of Vice City, the surrounding swamps, highways, nightclubs, rooftops, alligator-filled pools, and of course, the prison. Of course, the last game in the series was released a decade ago, so it’s no surprise that this is the best sequel in GTA history.
There’s also a strong push for social media in this trailer, confirming the modern setting and appealing to a gamer audience who will be watching videos on TikTok or Instagram while the game loads.
