Instagram launches AI Feature to generate Story backgrounds via text prompts
Instagram has announced a new AI feature that allows users to create new backgrounds for their Stories, which was announced by Ahmad Al-Dahle, head of generative AI at Meta, along with a training video on Threads.
The background tool appears next to another icon at the top of the screen after you’ve taken a photo or downloaded it from your photo library. Clicking on the icon turns the background of the image into a checkered pattern and displays a text box that says: “Describe the background you want.
Stories created with AI backgrounds will be tagged by Instagram, along with any features used for the background or stickers that viewers may try out.
